Marbleoptics includes photographs made by handcrafted film cameras that use marbles as lenses, the designs for those cameras and the cameras themselves. This project was conceived in the spirit of the more nutty photographic experiments of the 19th century and out of interest in the potential of photography - which has become a natural part of our lives but was once an experimental field with no set standards.
